Starr Construction is a full service residential contractor with an approach to building that focuses on service, craftsmanship, and value. We are capable of and happy to take on projects covering all phases of construction including design, building, and finish work, but are also able to collaborate with your architects, engineers, designers, and decorators.

Our goal is to create a finished product that fulfills your expectations. Starr Construction advocates energy efficient low maintenance construction and in general strives to be a responsible steward of the environment.

Affiliations & Certifications

John Starr has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. He has earned the designations of Certified Graduate Builder and Certified Graduate Remodeler from the National Association of Homebuilder’s University of Housing. 

Zach Baker has earned the designation of Certified Green Builder from the National Association of Home Builders.

Starr Construction is a member of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of NH, and John Starr serves on the NH State Building Code Review Board as the representative of the Home Builders.

Successfully completed HUD-approved course in lead-safe work practices.

Successfully completed OSHA mandated course on Occupational Safety and Health Training
